Employment & Support Allowance (ESA) & Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)

Introduced in October 2008 for new claimants. Migration of existing Incapacity Benefit (IB) claimants begins in 2010 with a pilot programme than is rolled out Nationwide from February 2011. Employment & Support Allowance is subject to a Work and Capability Assessment (WCA) that determines whether you will be placed in the Support group or work group. If you are placed in the work group you will recieve Jobseekers Allowance(JSA)
