***************************************

We are delighted to invite you to the second meeting in our year-long APPG inquiry into the Government's far-reaching NHS reforms and how they will affect mental health services. Throughout 2011, the All Party Parliamentary Group will be examining how NHS reform will impact on local mental health landscapes and those who rely on them.

The Health and Social Care Bill will herald a dynamic shift in the way services are delivered. Our inquiry has already heard from Paul Burstow, the Minister of State for Care Services. This new one hour session will give parliamentarians and audience members the opportunity to hear directly from the people who matter most in this debate - those on the frontline of mental health services as patients, service users and carers. Join us to find out more about the reality of mental health service provision on the ground, and quiz our panel of 'experts by experience' on what they think the reforms will achieve.

The inquiry will culminate with a final report that Parliamentarians and the public can use as a best practice guide to mental health provision in their local area. To RSVP please contact Michelle Smith, Government Relations Adviser at Rethink Mental Illness: michelle.smith@rethink.org or 0207 840 3151
